Man U v Liverpool in the FA Cup. Fuck me that was entertaining, in a totally bonkers way. Like watching two boxers who only punched with zero defence. Good to see Klopp lose. 8-)

Like so many on here today, I'm sure, I spent the afternoon watching Worthing v Bath CIty on TNT.

For as long as I can remember, but for an original reason I can't remember at all, Bath have been my 'non-league team'. There's no family, geographic, or footballing reason that I can think of, but for some reason they must have appealed when I was young and it's stayed with me.

This was a rare chance to see them on TV, and it was a decent game and they got a solid 2-2 draw in a tough away game. Though it was disappointing that they were the team playing direct, and looking to score from set pieces and long throws, while Worthing were looking to play good football along the ground. So in neutral circumstances I'd have preferred them to win.

The stand out player from either side was Worthing's Danny Cashman. I'd heard about him a few weeks ago, actually, though I'd forgotten about him - he's a technically gifted, skilful attacking player and I remember someone jokingly calling him the non-league Jack Grealish (as he's got that kind of haircut and plays that kind of game).

Anyway, he scored two tidy finishes in the game and did look like he could play higher than tier 6. He came through Brighton's academy but after being released a couple of years ago aged 20 he's dropped down to that level (via a couple of years and no games at Coventry). I'll keep an eye on him and see if he's one of those who works his way back up, or if there's an issue (consistency? attitude?) that's keeping him from a higher level.
