There are so many what if moments around any tragedy, but this one is always one I look back on with great sadness with regards to what the entire footballing world was robbed of. Most comments I see from people around the game at that time were convinced that England would have won the World Cup that year with some of the players we lost in the tragedy, and we can only imagine what sort of European powerhouse United would have become with these young players growing and flourishing.
You just have to look at what Sir Bobby Charlton says about Duncan Edwards to truly feel that we were cruelly robbed of an absolutely masterful player.
