Arguably the two best performing footballers in the world currently are Haaland and Messi. They both appear to ‘act a little differently’ in certain social settings. If they do indeed have ‘autistic traits’ they would both be brilliant role models for Neurodiversity, I reckon.
Many of the greatest footballers were quite mavericks with their own little idiosyncrasies. Balotelli in his prime was a genius but his activities were amazing. That glory time in 2011/12 were he was doing mad things off the pitch and moments of greatness on it I miss those days the interview he did with Noel Gallagher on football focus was a highlight.
