I would prefer it if Qatar won the bid to host the WC due to bribery. The alternative is that FIFA are so incompetent that they awarded them the WC based on the merits of their bid.

Well if we're going to segue into politics, isn't it just bloody typical that the "favourite" is the one lying the most? Folk complain about politicians lying but like what Boris says to them (if I've understood it, he's going to renegotiate the deal that took two years to negoititate by 31/10 and if unsuccessful will somehow get a no deal passed parliament and then will use the no deal war chest to fund tax cuts for higher earners and he's not a racist as his great-grandfather was a muslim so there). And his surname means "penis".

Well, we all know Qatar has a long and illustrious history of football, that’s why FIFA awarded them the World Cup, nothing to do with rumours of bribes and backhanders, that’s just being cynical.
