I love Cricket, and especially Test Cricket, but I'm finding it all a bit too predictable over the last few years. There are no special teams at the moment and most series are just won by the home team due to home advantage rather than any special ability or performances. I don't take much delight in England winning a home series anymore as I know it's just the conditions and that they'll probably get hammered away to the same opponent. That even applies to the last couple of Ashes series. The 2005 series was the last truly epic home win as it was against a great side that had dominated the game (albeit coming to their end).
The game needs another great side - from any country - to come around, as it's drifting in a general level of mediocrity at the moment (I know there are some modern great players but scattered amongst a lot of average ones by past standards).
It happens. Several times over the last century. KTF.
