You should have posted that in the Word Association Game.
Anyway, you've got it wrong: we're not back to earth with a 'bump', it was Perth! Should have gone to Hear-Aid Savers. ;)

Last time they were there, England won in South Africa, and drew in West Indies and New Zealand.

Most memorable moments in Test Cricket: Bodyline, Botham's Ashes, Warne's ball of the century, England drawing 0-0 with New Zealand and their 4 million population, and 1-1 with a West Indies team robbed of their T20 players. ;)
No, seriously, take your point, especially about the SA win. There are certainly some examples of teams competing in away series but it does feel like the standard has dropped in last number of years and that all teams, not just England, are finding it even harder than usual to win in away conditions. Seen articles showing that that was certainly the case between 2010-2015, not sure about last couple of years but it doesn't feel like anything's changed.
But I still love the game, no matter how many hammerings we get.
