So a judge has adjourned their winding up order for another six weeks.

As it stands from what I've read the club owes millions, they have no manager, no kit supplier, owe all of their player's wages from February onwards and will have a severely depleted squad when lots of their current contracts run out on 1st July. Obviously nobody would sign for the club given the financial situation and existing players won't renew their deals to play for free. They are back in court a matter of days before the new season starts.

Realistically have they got a chance of sorting this situation out? What's the likely outcome for all of this?

I would have thought the club would have gone into administration by now and been deducted points like Bolton..

You should read the Chairman's statement. He seems somewhat deluded:

I did read something somewhere that some fans were trying to force the club into administration. I can see why the Chairman wants to avoid it but it seems inevitable. It will be difficult to be relegated next season with two clubs twelve points down.

What you mean is - there are likely to be two fewer clubs challenging for promotion.

Should for whatever reason they die before the season begins, what happens? Does our league have 23?

"Bury owner Steve Dale offers to settle some - but not all – of club’s debts
• Proposal to pay football creditors in full and 25% of other money
• Deal would avoid winding-up petition but not (12) points penalty"

How does the football world get away with the rule that football creditors get paid in preference to others? It’s outrageous.
