Jake Livermore in a pub in Stony.

Anyone else seen a footballer somewhere you didn't expect?

Trevor Sinclair - upstairs in a bar in Palma, Majorca.

I was on a stag week and we were all in a bar watching England in Euro 2004. Trevor, his mate, their wives and young kids (in pushchairs) came in, so Trev and his made could also watch the game. They came and sat with us and gracously put up with us drunken oafs. He was charming in fact.

Deano in Tesco Kingston, not really surprising given his abode at the time

Cristian Benavente in Morrisons when MK Dons were playing a game and he was still with us.

Peter Crouch just walking by himself down the road on a weekday afternoon in Kentish Town (London).

Karl Robinson sat next to me a few feet away on the tables outside Turtle Bay in The Hub a few years back

Stephen Gleeson sat behind me, by himself at Coventry away last season

Sat next to Tony Cottee one evening in McDonald’s before a game. He was reporting on the game from the concourse in the east stand as they did back then.

Paul Merson walking up a street in Harpenden only this very afternoon.

Quite a few Arsenal players live in and around West Common in Harpenden. So no real surprise.
