Leeds unlikely to come closer than that James effort, what a strike

Should have been Coventry though , but thats the FA for you.

Should have been Man United winning 3-2 in normal time without a late incorrect penalty call. But that's VAR for you.

Great effort from United. Put in a great performance.

It was a penalty.

In that case there should be an awful lot more penalties for hitting a hand given than there has been of late. They've cut back on them over the season, and that's the kind they often don't give as the season progressed (and a good few virtually identical ones not given in the rounds of games around it).

The Coventry goal was definitely rightly disallowed for being offside. So surprissd you're not pointing that out to TangerineDon as well. ;)

Because in the spirit of the game I don't believe it was offside. In the rules, it is. I don't agree with the rules. They're pony. But yes, I agree with you that if we're going by the rules it's offside.

The hand ball prevented the ball from going forward and was in an unnatural position. Do I believe its in the spirit of the game either? No, penalties like that should never be given. But they are, because the rules state so snd we can't keep up with the chopping and changing but as of now, it's correct.

This is why I think VAR is a shambles. Creates more division on these incidents than ever before

I don’t know if anybody else is watching England v France womens Euro qualifier, probably not, I don’t know why I am really, but it’s appalling, England are a country mile away from how good they were in the last Euros, yes a few regulars retired after winning it, but my god they are so dreadfully poor.
The forwards couldn’t hit a barn door with a shovel, midfield just give the ball away and the defence is creaking like O’Hora and Tucker on a bad day

Three minutes left and France, who don’t look very good either, are 2 - 1 up.

Thankfully I have beer

Had half an eye on the game and England looked very disappointing. But it's been the tennis on the main screen for me tonight

Rio is right in that Bellingham has done nothing in the Champions League knockout stages and Vinicius Jr is carrying Madrid. Dortmund ought to be in the lead.

Who would have thought. Against the run of play Madrid take the lead from a set piece while Dortmund's have been poor.
