Oh, and Luke Littler only made the forty grand last week: ten for another PL win in Liverpool (he's now five points clear at the top), and thirty for winning the Austrian Darts Open. He's won two out of three events on the European Tour now.

He's up to 25 in the world rankings - and now only two places behind James Wade...

Just because it's probably the best thread for it: I've not been able to catch much of the World Snooker so far, but I just saw the last two frames of the Allen-Higgins match. Absolutely epic. That shot round the green to pot the red is one of the best I've ever seen. And Allen still lost! How Higgins pulls it out of the bag so many times, I'll never know.

As a huge (and hugely frustrated!) Jack Lisowski fan, I was watching his game on the other channel. Once again, he managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. :(

He was the better player, ahead on all the stats - had 11 50+ breaks compared to Bingham's 3 - yet managed to miss some key shots and fall at the last hurdle as usual. Would love to see him win his first tournament but he's such a frustrating player to.support!

yeah, I just switched over to see the very end of it - I'm getting real Tim Henman vibes from Lisowski!

Jannik Sinner in tennis. This guy's 22 and has just beaten Novak Djokovic to knock Serbia out of the Davis Cup. He's had a brilliant year and was really impressive at both Wimbledon and the US Open. Alcaraz is obviously the new young superstar in tennis but this guy might just be his closest challenger in years to come. I'm certain it won't be long until he wins a slam.

And, after Djokovic has withdrawn from the French Open due to injury, Sinner will be the new world number 1 whatever happens through the rest of the tournament.

Tennis has been going through a bit of a transition over the last few years, with the big stars of recent years all coming to the end of their careers, but it's really exciting to see the young talent starting to come through and make their mark.

Rocky Flintoff.
16 year old son of Andrew (Freddie) .Been on the books of Lancashire for years and recently signed his first professional contract with them. This season, at 16, he's played a few times for the second X1 - scoring a century and half century so far. And has been called up to England U19's, scoring a century on debut for them yesterday.
Still very much at the beginning, and a lot can go wrong, but seems a promising prospect.
