I don't think in this instance size matters, Spain with their lightweight short arsed players were successful, they sometimes didn't even bother playing with a striker, because the team of tiny midfielders could carve teams apart.

The British teams are a long way behind technically, compared to Spain, Germany, Italy etc
England are probably the best of a poor UK bunch, I don't expect any of the home nations qualifying for the World Cup, to progress from the group stages, unless it can be rigged.....
